Does anyone know who made these 25mm figures?

I need to buy nine more of these dragoons, but I have no idea who manufactured them. Does any one recognize the maker? They are 25mm, but on the small side. Thanks...

Battle of Anheuser

A report on the recent Battle of Anheuser is available at the Murdock's Marauders site. Forces from a number of Imagi-Nations took part in this engagement . . . not all turned out as expected.

(note -- this was a proxy battle -- that is, one that was fought by third parties after the actual participants submitted their "Orders of Battle" and their "orders" . . . and the results, as in this case, often involve some surprises.)

Four EvsE Personalities At Battle of Schaumburg

10 October 1759/2009 Battle of Schaumburg. The 4th BIG Battalion BAR game hosted by Der Alte Fritz of Hesse-Seewald. Click on photographs to enlarge them.

Extreme Gallian left flank. Tagewerben was successfully taken by The Fischer Legion and two battalions of the Brigade of Lt. Gen. Armentieres. Near is a portion of 2/Berry. In Tagewerben is 2/Royal Roussillon. Hesse Seewald forces successfully prevented any further Gallian advance from here.

2/Royal Roussillon tangling with Hesse-Seewald Jagers armed with pesky rifles. Both units have earned "elite"status since 1755/2005 in our BAR games.

View from the Gallian left flank. The Pratzen Heights blocks your view of the Gallian center and right flank.

Behind the center you see Gallian Commander in Chief, Lieutenant Général Chevert on a light grey horse. Other EvsE personalities are atop one of our Victory Monuments.

Viewing the battle:

Frankzonia's Hurtszhog in a dark blue coat with associates, Count l'Beauchamp in light green and 'lMarquise de Hottatrot with raised sword. Tradgardland's premier diplomat von Bergmann in a Polish crimson justaucorps. How and when did von Bergmann arrive on the continent?

Wonderfully fun. Der Alte orchestrated a terrific game!

Alarms and Discursions

Amidst the roar and infernal smoke and total confusion of a great battle, The Frankszonian "guests" of Baron Bastille notice a slathered horse being led to the party.
A young Gallian dragoon hands an attache case to the Baron, who looks at a couple of the papers inside, and then quickly wheels his horse towards the rear shouting for an aide.
The messenger remonstrates, pointing to the Hurtshog animatedly, but Bastille brusquely orders the lad away!
L'Comte d'Beauphaup quickly overtakes the rider and inquires, "What news from Frankfurter, M'seur?"
"There seems to be a mutiny among the Frankszonian forces in their southern Stadt Wald, m'Lord," the lad replies, excitedly. "A supply train from Wittenberg was taken, and one of St. Maurice's patrols were ambushed! Several regiments seem involved, and they've got the support of the peasants in the forest!"
After sharing the shock and excitement (and a draft of cordial) with the lad, the count hurries back to the Hurtshog. To their pressing inquiries, he replies, "that foolish Gallian will be buying more of our seltzer and bizmuth, my lords." Then he adds, grimly, "It seems that the inevitable consequences of removing the Hurtshog from such an unstable stew as Frankfurter are already boiling over."

A Letter to the Erbprinz of Hesse-Seewald

Our dear Cousin,

Our gallant army has been successful in withstanding the invading Imperium hordes. This Saturday last our noble troops and their stalwart Brittanian allies defeated the attempt by the Imperium army to seize the important cannon foundry in the Barony of Eisenmuhlen. Although the enemy is still in the field before our lines, he has not tried any further advances. We are assured by our military advisors that the current position of our army will ensure the Imperium forces cannot advance into your left rear and threaten your defenses against the Gallians under Msr. Chevert.

I remain your humble and obedient servant,

Friedrich Hapnich, Markgraf of Carpania

A Letter to Lieutenant General Chevert

My dear Cousin,

The Reichsarmeeabteilung Obere Sachsen, under my command by order of the Imperium War Cabinet, has unfortunately not been as successful as I would have desired. Although we were able to defeat the perfidious Carpanians and their Brittanina allies at Alt Kirchendorf along the border, we were not able to continue with that success at Eisenmuhlen on Saturday last. Therefore we have not been able to advance any further and will thus not be able to threaten the left rear of the Hesse-Seewald army near Gotha. I am most apologetic in not being able to further the advance of your illustrious army but the Carpanian nut at Eisenmuhlen was just too difficult to crack.

I remain your most humble and obedient servant,

Bernard von Alderheim, Freiherr, MOGC
Feldzeugmeister of the Imperium army

A Call for a Proxy Battle

I noticed that Murdock of the Duchy of Mieczyslaw fame is looking to host a "Proxy Battle" . . . so if anyone has a battle that they want fought by a neutral party, here's your chance.

He's announced it on his Murdock's Marauders blog (click to go to blog). (Read past the "Battletech" stuff the "Proxy Battle Search" portion of his blog).

He has fought a number of such proxy battles before . . . so if your Imagi-Nation is trying to figure out how to invade another Imagi-Nation which is controlled by someone far far away from you, you might want to take the man up on his offer.

The battle report will be posted later this week after all the painters and illustrators have finished their works.

Blogger Problems Anyone?

I have been unable to post or upload pictures into any of my Blogspot blogs this evening. Has anyone else had this problem? I can type text and post that, but when I try to upload pictures from my computer, it is no go.

Rectifying an oversight.

*
A semi-official communication from the Reich Duchy of Beerstein College of Honors has indicated that Reich Duke Wilhelm did not receive the Hetzenberg Freundshaft Order during his illustrious visit to the Grand Duchy. Grand Duke Karl is amazed, mortified and angered at the oversight! The Award is granted to Reich Duke Wilhelm forthwith along with Hetzenberg's profound apologies. The official responsible for the oversight has been promoted to command a detachment in the siege lines before Randstadt.
